ONE || NORTH CAROLINA MUSEUM OF ART
This is by far my favorite location to shoot. There’s such a variety –green open fields, tall grass, willow trees, cool art sculptures, white museum building, alleyway of glass windows and even water. To me, you can have both a natural and industrial vibe. My husband, Chris, and I even had our 2nd wedding anniversary session here as well as our most recent family session.
TWO || DOWNTOWN RALEIGH
If you want a more industrial, cityscape vibe —Downtown Raleigh is the place to go. There are so many different options. You can start at the Capitol Building with grass and trees in the middle of downtown, move over to the big beautiful doors of nearby churches, travel a block away to the most colorful mural and end at the top of an old parking deck. You really can’t go wrong with any option.
THREE || HISTORIC OAK VIEW COUNTY PARK
Want to keep it simple? Historic Oak View County Park is right on the edge of Raleigh and offers everything you love about a park. It’s the perfect spot for an empty green field, valley of trees, white historic house and barn, grapevines and a white fence. This is one of my go-to spots for seasonal mini sessions!
