Megan’s Top 3 Locations for Sessions

ONE || NORTH CAROLINA MUSEUM OF ART

This is by far my favorite location to shoot. There’s such a variety –green open fields, tall grass, willow trees, cool art sculptures, white museum building, alleyway of glass windows and even water. To me, you can have both a natural and industrial vibe. My husband, Chris, and I even had our 2nd wedding anniversary session here.

TWO || DOWNTOWN RALEIGH

If you want a more industrial, cityscape vibe —Downtown Raleigh is the place to go. There are so many different options. You can start at the Capitol Building with grass and trees in the middle of downtown, move over to the big beautiful doors of nearby churches, travel a block away to the most colorful mural and end at the top of an old parking deck. You really can’t go wrong with any option.

THREE || JC RAULSTON ARBORETUM

Want floral blooms and plants that make you feel like you’re not even in Raleigh? The Arboretum is just the place for you! Depending on the time of year, there are tons of options of plants and flowers that can serve as the most beautiful backdrop for your session. This is the most popular place I use for shooting bridal sessions.
